Anne Clement is the Senior Washington representative II for the Clean Transportation program at the Union of Concerned Scientists. In her role, she interacts with Congress, executive branch agencies, and the White House on topics pertaining to fuel efficient cars and electric vehicles. Prior to joining UCS, she was a senior legislative associate at the National Governors Association, where she worked on issues related to energy, the environment, natural resources, and agriculture. Before that, she was a legislative assistant in former Senator Barbara Boxer’s office, covering a range of energy and natural resources issues. Anne earned a BA in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles, and an MPA with concentrations in federal policy, politics, and management, and environmental policy from The George Washington University.
